LANSING, MI (WJXQ) – Both the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press report former Michigan Health and Human Services director Robert Gordon took a payout of over $155,000 in tax payer money when he resigned in January.
Gordon also signed a separation agreement “releasing all claims against” the state of Michigan and not allowing himself or anyone with the state to discuss it. Governor Whitmer was asked point-blank three times to describe his exit in January, and each time she would not get into the details.
Gordon abruptly resigned the same morning he signed the order allowing restaurants to reopen at 25-percent capacity.
