Governor extends deadline for liquor licenses

LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bars and restaurants that need to renew a liquor license this year are getting an extension.

Governor Whitmer announced that the deadline for license renewals is now July 30^th, a three-month extension.

The Governor said that the extra time was put in place to help ease the stress on businesses already dealing with major issues due to the pandemic.

The change should assist app. 19 thousand businesses.
