KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo College will drop the requirement for the fall class of 2016, that applicants supply either their ACT or SAT score.
Officials at the private college say from now on they will focus their review of High School grads on their GPA and the difficulty of the class load, a student’s co-curricular activities and personal recommendations.
K-College admissions staff say they have found that a person’s actual history is a much more reliable indicator of success in college than performance on a test.
They would be only the third college in the state to drop the two big tests, but apparently over 800 nationwide have done the same.
