KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It’s almost graduation season.
In fact the largest graduation ceremonies in Kalamazoo will be taking place this weekend, as over 2000 students will be picking up their diplomas at Western Michigan University.
So many students in fact that they will need four ceremonies to hand them all out.
WMU Board chair Shelley Edgerton they start in the morning and don’t end until well into the evening.
WMU President Edward Montgomery says it’s always a special day.
And a busy one for him.
They will be handing out 1500 Bachelor’s degrees, 400 Masters degrees and 110 doctorates during Saturday’s events at Miller Auditorium.
