VICKSBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Vicksburg have announced that a suspect has been arrested in the threats made against Vicksburg Public Schools.
The suspect is currently only described as a juvenile believed to be responsible for making the threats.
The threats closed Vicksburg Community Schools on Tuesday, November 19th.
In light of the recent series of threats against schools, parents are encouraged to discuss the seriousness of these threats, joking or not, with their children.
Officials maintain that all threats made will be treated seriously.
In Michigan, making a terrorist threat can be punished by 20 years in prison, a fine of $20,000, or both.

There is another school closing due to a social media threat, this time in Vicksburg.
Administrators say Vicksburg Community Schools are closed Tuesday November 19th.
This includes Vicksburg High School and Middle School, Vicksburg Pathways High School, Indian Lake Elementary, Sunset Lake Elementary, and Tobey Elementary.
Details on the threat have not been released at this time.
This comes after a series of threats shut down Kalamazoo, Parchment and Portage schools last week.
A 17-year-old girl is being charged with making a threat to shoot up Portage Northern High School last week, prompting the entire Portage northern campus to close that morning.
In addition, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old both face misdemeanor charges for posting the first initial threats against Loy Norrix High School.
Prosecutor Jeff Getting says these threats are no joking matter and they take every threat, credible or not, very seriously.
