KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A massive fire at a home in Kalamazoo early Wednesday morning, which firefighters spent several hours trying to put out, re-ignited later in the day.
At around 6:00 p.m., crews were called back to the structure in the 800 block of South Street. In their earlier efforts, firefighters had tried to save key structural parts of the home. But after the fire re-ignited in the evening, the structure is now deemed a total loss.
Officials also say one firefighter sustained minor injuries while working at the scene. They are still trying to determine the cause.
