KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University hockey will be looking at getting back on the winning track at No. 12 Nebraska-Omama this weekend.
No. 2 North Dakota swept the Broncos last weekend at Lawson Arena.
Andy Murray, WMU’s head coach, says UNO is an offensive-minded team with four of the top 20 scorers in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
“They can generate a lot of offense,” Murray said. “We need to make sure that we manage the puck this weekend. It’s not like we want to be in a defensive mode, we want to have the puck offensively, but that’s the best way to keep it out of the hands of their skilled forwards.”
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be carried on 96.5 WZOX-FM.
