WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO) — Michigan Representative Candice Miller has announced she won’t be running for reelection in 2016.
Miller, who is 60, is the only female chair of a committee in Congress. She did not give a specific reason why, only to say that she will support whoever the community picks to replace her next year.
She says she has every intention of serving out the rest of her term.
She was saluted by the Governor and by local Congressman Fred Upton who made it clear in his message that he has no plans to follow Miller into retirement and is “100% running for re-election in 2016,”
