KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — A homeless man who terrorized five women, threatening them with a knife when he forced his way into a home on Craft Avenue in Kalamazoo Township in April has been given 12 to 30 years in prison for assault with intent to rob and home invasion.
The Attorney for Kendall Williams Johnson claimed he had not eaten in days and was desperate and noted it was his first offense.
The arguments didn’t sway the judge who went with the sentence recommended by the Department of Corrections.
He was captured when one of his hostages slipped away and called 9-1-1, and police caught Johnson when he leapt from a 2nd story window.
