KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Commuters who have been dealing with construction and detours since spring will have new obstructions to watch for as Kalamazoo Public Schools open next week.
That will mean that there will be more vehicular and pedestrian traffic to cope with.
Kalamazoo Vice Mayor Jeanne Hess says watch for stopped school buses.
Construction will also be a problem for school bus drivers who will also be dealing with detours and orange cones.
According to Superintendent Darrin Slade:
Kalamazoo Public Schools has equipped all their buses with video systems to catch the license plate numbers of drivers who run the stop lights and signs on those buses.
