EAST LANSING, MI — The president of Michigan State University says a person with connections to the campus in East Lansing is undergoing testing for the coronavirus.
MSU President Samuel Stanley released a letter to students and employees this morning: “Last night, the state of Michigan confirmed two cases in Wayne and Oakland counties. Early this morning we learned of an individual linked to our campus which the Ingham County Health Department is currently investigating.”
One Oakland County woman who recently traveled internationally and one Wayne County man with recent travel in the U.S. are both hospitalized. Samples from both have been sent to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for final confirmation, according to state officials.
