EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – While the excitement of “March Magic” is building, the Michigan High School Athletic Association said Wednesday night they are planning to conduct all remaining winter post season tournaments as scheduled.
But steps are being taken in light of the two positive cases of COVID-19 in Michigan and the recommendations made by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Wednesday. The MHSAA says they are finalizing plans that will either prohibit or allow limited spectators through Saturday’s events.
Spectators will not be allowed at this weekend’s Boys Swimming and Diving Finals at Oakland University and at the Holland Aquatic Center.
Those events will be streamed live at MHSAA.tv.
The MHSAA is expected Thursday morning to provide more specific plans and policies for spectators at this weekend’s boys basketball district games, the girls basketball regional games, the girls gymnastics Finals as well as the Ice Hockey semifinals and finals.
