LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A week-long effort to lift spirits and raise funds ends tonight.
From 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. “Come Together: A Relief Effort for Tourism Workers” features musical acts, chefs and celebrities with a Michigan background in a one-hour benefit program for the Michigan Hospitality Industry Employee Relief Fund. It will be streamed on the Facebook Live pages of M-Live and Pure Michigan, according to Pure Michigan VP Dave Lorenz.
“The idea has been, during National Travel and Tourism Week, that we have been coming together, in support of one another,” he said on “WHTC Morning News” during his weekly appearance Friday. “Tonight, among the other guests, they include the tremendous author, Mitch Albom, and the voice of ‘Pure Michigan,’ Tim Allen.”
Gospel artist Marvin Sapp and baker Linda Hundt are also those slated to feature in tonight’s program, produced in conjunction with Under the Radar: Michigan and the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation.
