KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The new child care millage request put on the August ballot in Kalamazoo County last week won’t be the only funding issue before voters countywide.
Metro Transit will also be seeking renewal later this summer, of their millage to support those services that director Sean McBride says provide rides for out-county residents.
The mass transit system continues to recover and grow from the pandemic years, as cars have become more expensive to own and maintain, especially this year.
The number of people who don’t have cars may surprise you.
For many of them, Metro Transit has become an essential service, making it possible to reliably get to jobs, schools, grocery stores and healthcare.
