Passenger arrested on gun charges after vehicle stop in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police say a 22-year-old passenger in a vehicle was arrested for a weapons violation during an early morning traffic stop Monday.

Officers pulled the vehicle over on Ada St. at around 1:00 a.m. During the stop, a passenger exited the vehicle and told officers that there was a gun inside.

The passenger was taken into custody and the driver was released.
