EAST LANSING, MI –A new 15-story mixed-use tower could soon rise along the skyline of downtown East Lansing, where the Student Book Store currently sits. The development would bring new apartments and commercial space to the area.
A new 12-story development named “The Howard” is being proposed for the site of the SBS along Grand River Ave. in East Lansing. The project is a partnership between the Ballein family, owners of the bookstore, and Harbor Bay Ventures.
Not many details are being made available. The city would first have to give its approval to the plan.
