ALLEGAN TWP., MI (WKZO/WHTC) – Foul play is not suspected after the body of a person was found by divers in a lake southwest of Allegan on Monday, Dec. 23.
No names were disclosed after dive team members from both the County Sheriff’s office and the Michigan State Police located the person in Little John Park. The case began in neighboring Kalamazoo County on Saturday with a missing person report, and the vehicle belonging to that person was spotted in the park.
Evidence at the scene indicated that the person may have gone into the lake, and after two days of searching on land and in the water, the discovery came. The matter remains under investigation.
