BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One person has been sent to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation suffered during a fire at their home just before 7 a.m. on Saturday.
The home was at 19 Inn Road in Battle Creek and the fire damaged the kitchen and most of the rear of the home.
Two dogs were also rescued by firefighters and were given oxygen before being taken to a veterinarian’s office.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No firefighters were hurt battling the flames.
