KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A year-round farmers market will be coming to the city of Kalamazoo.
The current market is open from May through November, and Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation director Patrick McVerry says their new event center would have the market along with the city’s main after-school program.
He says it won’t be as large as the current market but it will give farmers the opportunity to sell produce and goods that they might not have the chance to in the winter months.
The new event center will sit next to the current farmers market and be nearly 9,000 square feet.
