KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Five southwest Michigan residents have been recognized as “Stars of Life” at a state Capitol ceremony by the Michigan Association of Ambulance Services.
MAAS executive director Angela Madden says the work EMS practitioners do is essential in keeping communities safe.
She says Stars of Life is their “favorite way to give thanks to the unsung EMS heroes who go above every day and beyond to provide life-saving care to Michigan residents.”
Honored were Taylor Graham of Battle Creek, Emily Kidd of Hickory Corners, JoDawna McDonald of Schoolcraft, Kalsie Van Linder of Kalamazoo, and Noah Olweean of Richland. Graham, Kidd, and McDonald work for LifeCare Ambulance, and Van Linder and Olweean work for Life EMS Ambulance.
