BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek Police say an 18-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot on Friday, August 18.
Authorities say the shooting happened around 2:15 p.m. in the area of Hamblin Avenue and Angell Street where witnesses reported seeing an SUV chasing a sedan, with someone in the SUV firing a gun. Shortly after, Bronson Battle Creek Hospital called police to report a person that was shot.
When officers arrived at the hospital, they found a sedan in the parking lot that matched the description from the reported chase.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and police say they do not believe the community is in further danger.
