BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek police say a teenager is in critical condition at a hospital after being shot early Saturday morning.
The shooting happened at 1:30 a.m. near the Sunset Party Store on West Michigan Avenue.
The 18-year-old man was shot in his upper body and the suspect had fled the area when officers responded.
No arrests have been made, but police say they believe the teenager will survive.
His name has not been released.
