CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Transportation is reminding motorists that one lane will be closed on eastbound I-94 at I-69 in Marshall starting on Tuesday, May 30 as crews continue to work to rebuild the northbound I-69 ramp to eastbound I-94.
Officials say it’s all part of MDOT’s three-year, $210 million dollar project to rebuild I-69 between Island Highway in Charlotte, and I-94 in Marshall.
They go onto say the improvements will provide increased safety and mobility in that particular area of I-69, which they say is a significant local and national trade corridor.
Based on economic modeling, officials expect the investment to directly and indirectly support nearly 2,667 jobs.
The closure is scheduled to end on Friday, June 2, at 7 p.m.
