KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Although the Wednesday morning storms didn’t cause any widespread power outages, some Consumers Energy customers lost power in both Allegan and Calhoun Counties.
According to the outage map on the Consumers Power website around 11:15 a.m., more than 1,000 had lost power in those two counties, with a handful losing power in Barry County.
Nearly 500 suffered an outage in Van Buren County while all the lights remained on in Kalamazoo County.
Forecasters had issued a Weather Alert Day for Wednesday, as high winds, heavy rain, and tornadoes were possible.
