ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The event will take place on Thursday at the First Baptist Church at 1290 32nd Street in Allegan beginning at 10 a.m.
There, veterans can get information on a variety of services available to them as well as COVID-19 boosters, Hepatitis A vaccines, grab bags, and lunch.
The event will run until 2 p.m. with information on available services to include:
– Health Care for Homeless Veterans
– Veterans Justice Outreach
– Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS)
– Employment Assistance
– Allegan County Senior and Veteran Services
– Allegan County Health Department
– West Michigan Veterans Assistance Program
– Housing Resources
– Mental Health Resources and more.
Lunch will be provided and surplus military items will be available.
Veterans should bring a DD214, VA I.D., or Military I.D. Assistance with obtaining the DD214 is available by contacting Allegan County Veteran Services at 269-673-0501.
