KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is inviting the public throughout Kalamazoo to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2.
Now going into it’s 39th year, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Event organizers say many neighborhoods around Kalamazoo will be hosting a variety of special events to include block parties, cookouts, and youth activities, designed to promote police-community partnerships, crime, drug and violence prevention, safety and neighborhood unity.
Edison Neighborhood: 816 Washington 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Eastside Association: 1301 East Main 5:00-9:00 p.m.
NACD: 4:00-7:00 p.m.
Vine Neighborhood Davis Street Park: 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Westwood Frays Park: 4400 Canterbury 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Douglass: 508 Denner 5:00-7:00 p.m.
