ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC AM/FM) — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car versus bicycle accident from Wednesday afternoon, June 22.
Authorities say it happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 88th Avenue and Gordon Street in Zeeland Township.
Investigation showed that a Maroon Toyota RAV4 driven by a 27-year-old female from Zeeland was traveling westbound on Gordon Street and came to a stop at the stop sign at 88th Avenue.
The driver of the Toyota said she did not see the 21-year-old male bicyclist crossing Gordon Street when she began turn causing the collision.
The bicyclist was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
