U of M the 11th seed in the South, MSU the 7th seed in the West as NCAA men’s basketball tourney starts this week

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WKZO AM/FM) – The 2022 NCAA men’s basketball tournament gets underway this week.

The University of Michigan went into Selection Sunday on the bubble, especially after losing to Indiana in the first round of the conference tournament, while Michigan State University was projected a No. 7 seed, according to ESPN.

The 11-seed Wolverines face six-seed Colorado State in the South Regional in Indianapolis Thursday at 12:15 p.m.

Seventh-seed Michigan State is facing 10th-seed Davidson Friday at 9:40 p.m. in the West Regional

The Big 10 managed to get nine teams into the tournament. Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas, and Baylor are the one seeds.
