KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The parents of five-year-old Lorenzo Budden are thanking the doctors at Bronson Children’s Hospital in Kalamazoo with saving their son’s life after he developed MIS-C from COVID-19.
His father, Chris Budden, says they are trying to let people know about it.
Lorenzo Budden’s symptoms developed quickly and he was hospitalized for a week, receiving six liters of high-flow oxygen.
Bronson Children’s Hospital Medical Director Dr. Greg Tiongson says they have so far treated 18 kids for MIS-C, which is due to COVID-19.
In Grand Rapids, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital had a record number of MIS-C cases in December 2021.
