PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported attempted abduction that occurred on Tuesday morning, October 20, in Pennfield Township.
At approximately 10:50 a.m., a 54-year-old woman was walking her dog near the intersection of Morgan Road and Norave Drive when an unknown male suspect approached her from behind.
The suspect, described as wearing a black ski mask, a fluorescent yellow jacket, and black gloves, grabbed the woman and lifted her off the ground.

As the investigation continues, authorities are asking residents in the area to check their surveillance cameras for any footage that might help identify the suspect. Additionally, with Halloween approaching, the Sheriff’s Office is reminding the community to remain vigilant, travel in groups, stick to well-lit areas, and report any suspicious activity immediately.
