KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – After a jury found him not guilty in a fatal shooting last month, a Kalamazoo man received a sentence for a weapons-related charge Monday.
The case concerns Gabreon Wells-Lindsay, who was previously facing charges in the November 2019 shooting death of Alex Johnson.
A jury had found him not guilty in that case, as well as a felony firearms charge, but was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon.
In an update Monday, WOOD TV reported that Wells-Lindsay received a sentence of 711 days in jail for that charge, but also received credit for 711 days served.
Because of this, he will no longer be incarcerated.
