KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cities of Kalamazoo and Portage are reminding their residents that both cities will be participating in a statewide tornado drill Wednesday afternoon.
The drill is a part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, which runs now through Sunday.
The drill will be taking place in Kalamazoo and Portage this Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Tomorrow at 1 p.m. the City of Kalamazoo will participate in a statewide Tornado drill. Don't be alarmed when you hear the tornado siren. It's a test!

During Severe Weather Awareness Week, the Kalamazoo Office of Emergency Management and Portage Department of Public Safety will post severe weather
awareness tips and topics to their Facebook pages.
Residents can tune in all week to learn about staying safe in severe weather.
