LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The state Department of Health and Human Services is seeking to ensure that every Michigan resident can sign up to get the COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available to them.
Department officials say that they understand there are issues with technology availability and understanding, and are attempting to partner with several organizations, such as hospitals, pharmacies, the 2-1-1 system, and local health departments, to make sure that everyone who wants the vaccine can get it.
Department director Elizabeth Hertel also points out that residents can call the COVID-19 Hotline at 888-535-6136, Monday-Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, or if they have access to the Internet, they can go to Michigan.gov/COVIDVaccine for the latest information.
