LEROY TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Troopers from the Michigan State Police Marshall Post along with Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office are investigating multiple vehicle larcenies that have taken place in recent days in the Leroy Township area of Calhoun County.
The State Police say most of the thefts have taken place between Thursday and Saturday during the hours of darkness.
Troopers say the suspects appeared to have entered unlocked vehicles and remove items of value.
State Police are also investigating the report of a stolen vehicle from the same area. The missing vehicle is a 2008 Buick Lucerne, tan in color, bearing Michigan registration # CNN-4298.
Anyone with information about the vehicle larcenies or stolen vehicle is asked to immediately contact their local 911 dispatch center who will relay the information to the appropriate authorities.
The State Police reminds everyone that the simple act of removing valuable items from your car and locking it when not in use, drastically reduces the possibility of your items or vehicle being stolen.
