SPRINGFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an arson at a home on Halloween night.
It happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday in the first block of North 24th Court off of 24th Street North near West Dickman Road in Springfield.
Authorities say that someone had thrown an improvised incendiary device through a bedroom window of the home, sparking the fire.
People were inside the residence at the time, but not inside that bedroom, and they were all able to safely escape and call 911.
