BATTLE CREEK, MI — National restaurant chain Ruby Tuesday has shut down nine Michigan restaurants along with filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week. Business Insider reports they are among dozens closed before the bankruptcy or just afterward.
In Michigan, they’re closed in Battle Creek, Big Rapids, Cadillac, Gaylord, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, Roseville, Saline, and Sterling Heights. The restaurant chain formerly operated a location at Meridian Mall in Okemos.
The developments continue a trend of restaurant closings in recent months. Michigan Restaurant Association reports a high volume of closings since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
