COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is injured after he was stabbed multiple times by another man in Van Buren County.
It happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 55000 block of County Road 384 near 50th Street in Columbia Township, south of Grand Junction.
Deputies say a 30-year-old man from Grand Junction was cut and stabbed multiple times on his torso. He was transported by a personal vehicle to Bronson South Haven Hospital and then transferred to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo.
The victim was listed in critical condition but authorities say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect, a 25-year-old man from Fennvile, was located and taken into custody with assistance of Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies. He is now in the Van Buren County Jail as he awaits arraignment for felonious assault and stabbing.
No details were released on what led up to the stabbing. The incident is still under investigation.
