STURGIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Sturgis Police hope the release of a couple of surveillance photos will help them identify the two thieves who mugged an elderly man inside a business.
It happened just after 6:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Chicago Road Thursday.
Deputy Chief Ryan Banaszak said, “This crime is particularly heinous when individuals take advantage of and assault an elderly person. Officers are following up on several leads, and are confident they will locate the individuals responsible.”
The victim was 70-year-old who required treatment at Sturgis Hospital for injuries to his face and head, suffered during the robbery.
