DELTA TOWNSHIP, MI — Delta Township has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for homes, businesses, and facilities that receive municipal water service. According to a press release, the advisory is being issued due to a temporary loss of water pressure caused by a large water main break near Canal Road and St. Joe Highway.
This advisory is precautionary and applies to water used for drinking and cooking.
Delta Township is working with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and is following all required state guidelines. Customers will be notified when the boil water advisory has been lifted. State guidelines generally require a minimum of 48 hours following repair or full restoration of water service before an advisory can be lifted.
The township says updates will be provided through the Township website, social media channels, text alerts, and local media.
