PAW PAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A search is underway for a woman who robbed a bank in Paw Paw Township.
It occurred around 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mercantile Bank on East Michigan Avenue near Woodman Street.
Paw Paw Police say the woman gave a note to the teller claiming she had a bomb outside, demanded money, and then fled in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Mercantile Bank posted on their Twitter page that their Paw Paw branch is currently closed at that customers should visit one of their Kalamazoo area locations at this time.
No explosives or suspicious items were found outside the bank and no injuries were reported.
