STURGIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — No it’s not a trick, the city of Sturgis is postponing trick-or-treating.
The National Weather Service is predicting a high wind advisory for St. Joseph County from 5 p.m. Thursday through 2 a.m. Friday, so the city released a statement saying all door-to-door and downtown trick-or-treating will instead take place Friday November 1st.
Door-to-door trick-or-treating will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and downtown festivities will be from 4-6 p.m.
The statement says, “Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, cause tree limbs to be blown down and could result in power outages.”
