RICHLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Just over $3,500 worth of school lunch debt has been eliminated from Gull Lake Community Schools after receiving a donation from the Officer Collin Rose Memorial Fund.
The memorial foundation honors Officer Collin Rose, who graduated from Gull Lake in 2006 and became a police officer. He was later killed in the line of duty in Detroit.
According to a statement by the foundation, Rose loved his community and the foundation is happy to help out in his honor.
Nearly 600 different student lunch accounts across all Gull Lake Public Schools were paid off thanks to the donation.
