BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek woman has been arrested for “swinging” a knife at two of her grown children late Saturday morning at a home in the first block of West Burnham Street.
The siblings, aged 29 and 27 received a visit from their mother, who they say was quite intoxicated at the time.
They say an argument began just before Noon and the male said that the 46-year-old woman took a knife out of her purse and began to “swing it around”.
He was in a defensive posture when he was cut on the hand. He told police his sister tried to stop her mother and she was also cut on the hand.
They were treated at the scene by Lifecare EMT’s and released at the home.
Their mother, who dropped the knife when police arrived, was arrested and booked into the Calhoun County Corrections Center on two counts of felonious assault.
