KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Sex abuse on campus, the issue that has scandalized Michigan State University, will be the subject of an online survey on the WMU Campus.
6,000 Students will find out Monday if they have been randomly selected to participate in a survey, which is also being used on 60 other campuses.
Respondents will be asked to write about theirexperiences, perceptions, and attitudes on sexual violence and sexual misconduct at WMU.
The same poll was done at WMU two years ago. The results from this new survey will be compared to the 2-year-old study to help staff at Western focus their efforts.
Later this month, student athletes and the sports staff at Western will receive a new training program on sexual abuse that is being mandated by the NCAA.
