KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — They did not get their man, but Kalamazoo Public Safety officials, teamed up with the Department of Corrections Absconder Unit, did bust another suspect and took another weapon off the street.
Arround 8:30 p.m. Monday, auhorities pulled over a vehicle in the 300 block of Patterson Avenue.
During the traffic stop, one of the passengers bolted from the car and took off on foot. After a brief chase and during struggle, the suspect dropped a loaded revolver on the ground.
A check of the serial number on the gun turned up a report that the gun had been stolen in the Kalamazoo area last year.
