KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say they have arrested occupants of a vehicle after shots were fired near the West Douglas neighborhood.
Deputies were on Hawley Street around 5 a.m. Thursday when they heard gunshots coming from the Summit Avenue area.
They say several houses and vehicles were hit by bullets on Summit but there are so far no reported injuries.
A short time later authorities say a vehicle crashed into a fence and several parked vehicles.
Officers located and arrested the occupants on a variety of charges but did not specify if they are connected to the gunshot reports.
