KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say a traffic stop led to a drug bust and the recovery of a stolen gun and other personal items in the Edison Neighborhood.
The vehicle was pulled over around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near Linton and Jackson Streets and a stolen, loaded handgun was found just outside car which was discarded by a passenger.
This triggered a search of the vehicle which turned up methamphetamine, cocaine, numerous personal checks, social security cards and bank cards that did not belong to the female passenger carrying them.
A 25-year-old man from Kalamazoo was arrested for gun, drug, and stolen property charges and a 25-year-old Kalamazoo woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants as well as drug charges.
Charges are pending against the woman carrying the fake I.D.
