KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A stolen pistol and drugs are now off the street after a traffic stop in the Vine neighborhood.
Officers from the Community Policing Unit were addressing complaints of drug activity in the 1200 block of South Westnedge Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and pulled over a vehicle in the area.
During the traffic stop they discovered meth and a stolen handgun inside the vehicle.
The driver, a 39-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was taken into custody for possession of meth, carrying a concealed pistol, possession of a stolen pistol, and for being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
