HIICKORY CORNERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Gilmore Car Museum has announced today Nick LaCasse as their new Executive Director.
LaCasse will start next month and replace current Interim Executive Director Michael Spezia, who will stay on for a period of time to ensure a successful transition. Spezia has been with the Gilmore Car Museum for 19 years.
LaCasse spent the last six years as the Director of Marketing and Guest Experience at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama, and says “I am extremely excited to start this new chapter, especially with a nationally renowned museum such as the Gilmore Car Museum. I look forward to bringing a different perspective to the team, with the singular goal of advancing the Museum’s mission.”
Hope for Creation in Kalamazoo has also announced Molly Mechtenberg as the organization’s first Executive Director. Mechtenberg joins the group after almost two decades as a co-founder of Peace House, a community in the Eastside neighborhood that supports children and families. In addition to community ties with people on the Eastside of Kalamazoo, she has worked at Gryphon Place and has her own business that focuses on restorative justice and nonviolent communication.
Hope for Creation, the Southwest Michigan regional chapter of Michigan Interfaith Power and Light, is a grassroots inter-religious group working to encourage
and support faith-based action on climate change in greater Kalamazoo.
