PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Teams of investigators from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration, Michigan State Police and local officials are assessing tornado damage in southwest Michigan.
Four tornadoes hit Kalamazoo, Branch, St. Joseph, and Cass counties last Tuesday, with the largest two being EF-2 tornadoes.
One that hit Portage destroyed at least 60 buildings.
Six teams will continue the work again today.
